Favorite Color Combos + Chip It
Here is another color combination for you! When I do these, I don't want you to think I'm expecting you to paint your walls 4 different colors. If it were me, I would choose one paint color (Khaki Shade for example) for your main color, use Crisp Linen for the trim, choose Hearts of Palm and Hazel for another room if you'd like, or use them as accent colors. :) Or vice versa. If you ever have any questions let me know, but I think these colors would look fantastic together.
And, Sherwin Williams just launched a new online tool called "Chip It". I was just introduced to it last week and I have to say it's pretty cool.
Here is how Rachel from Sherwin Williams explained it to me: "This first-of-its-kind web-based tool transforms any online image into a palette of Sherwin-Williams paint colors with just the click of a button.
To get started, users create a profile on www.letschipit.com via their Facebook or Twitter accounts and then simply add a bookmarklet to their web browser for easy access. Up to ten Sherwin-Williams paint colors can be identified by simply scrolling over the image. Photos and palettes can be saved in users' Chip It! profile, with the option of sharing the palette on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest."
So I found some pictures on Pinterest I really liked, put the URL into Chip It! and voila! I've got some awesome color pallettes. (To find the URL right click on the picture, go to "properties" at the bottom and once you click on properties you should see the URL listed. This is how it works on my PC using Internet Explorer - it may be different for other computers???)
It works great to pull the color from the pictures, but I didn't find it worked so well if you were trying to find a specific color. I tried adding a few pictures from my site that were Sherwin Williams colors and it didn't match it correctly, but it gives you a general place to start.
My daughter was helping me find pictures and we couldn't leave out Miss Tangled. See, the possibilites are really endless! :)
You can add ChipIt right to your tool bar, it's super easy to do and can be done with any picture as you can see. Watch the quick video clip on the Chip It site, it makes it look way easy, and it is! Let me know what you think of it and have a great weekend! Soo glad it's Friday!

Cloudburst
Today we are kicking off painted furniture and spray paint colors! It's going to be done the same style as we have done the rooms - paint color for the title, and brand and website below the picture. Most furniture that is painted has had an amazing transformation, so be sure to check out the website I post below for more information and great before and after pics.
Now it's your turn! If you've painted a piece of furniture, shelf, picture frame, lamp, headboard, your dog (totally kidding) submit it to me by e-mailing me at favoritepaintcolors@blogspot.com.
We'll still be doing lots of rooms, but I wanted to add this new segment so that if you're looking to paint something small, you have a resource. :) Be sure to check out my other post today - Earthy Gray.
Also, thank you to all of those who entered the giveaway. The winner is Kris10! She wrote "I have no digital scrapbooking experience, but I would love to try it. Not just for documenting our family memories, but also to do other fun things with it!!" Congratulations, I just e-mailed you!
Now onto this lovely piece of furniture. :) Have a great day!

New Blog Design and Features
So if you havn't noticed, there have been some changes around here! I wanted to explain some of those and tell you about some new segments that I am adding to FPC.
As you look on the left you can see there are a few new buttons that I didn't have previously. I wanted to point out the search button. If you are looking for a particular color, type in the name and if it's featured here on FPC then it will come up at the top of the page.( Remember, if you have a color of your own that you want to see featured on FPC, please contact me! I would love to hear from you and would love to feature YOUR favorite paint color. My e-mail is favoritepaintcolors@gmail.com.)
I also introduced you to my favorite color combos which will be a regular thing here. Trying to figure out which colors go together can be a tough thing when it comes to paint, and I hope this will help.
One other thing, my blog is in transition to becoming a .com. It takes a few days to do this but my new address is: http://www.favoritepaintcolorsblog.com. If you type in my blogspot address, it will redirect you, but just wanted you to be aware of the change. :)
Also, I wanted to thank Smitten Blog Design for helping me with this design. They were awesome to work with and if anyone is looking for a new blog facelift, I would highly recommend them. :)

I also want to add favorite spray paint and furniture colors, but will explain more on that segment tomorrow. I'm excited to start this!
Everything else is pretty self explanatory. Most of these new additions have come from input I have received from you, so if there's anything else that you'd love to see here let me know.
I hope everyone had a great weekend ... don't forget to enter the giveaway for MyMemories Digital Scrapbooking Software, It ends tonight! Happy Monday!
