Celebrating One Year at FPC: My Favorite Paint Items and $100 Gift Card
What better way to celebrate ONE YEAR at Favorite Paint Colors than with a giveaway! I can’t believe how fast the time has flown by and I want to thank all of you for making this blog a success. Thank you to my readers (you) and for everyone who has inspired us by submitting their rooms and paint colors to this site. I have loved every minute of it and am amazed at your talent and how paint can transform a space.
So in honor of you, I want to give away a few of my favorite items, along with a $100 gift card to the paint store of your choice.
And the winner will get…
1. Tight Spots Paintbrush. I was introduced to this brush a few weeks ago when I was helping my friend paint and I fell in love. This brush has a short rubber handle and is so easy to grip, which makes it easy to control the brush lines for tight spots and makes cutting go much faster.
2. Purdy Paintbrush - its name speaks for itself. LOVE everything about this brush. It will last you a lifetime if you take care of it, gives you great coverage and a sharp line.
How to Enter:
(Up to 3 entires per person)
1. Simply tell me what paint project is on your to do list that needs to get DONE,
AND/OR tell me what your favorite paint product is.
2. Become a follower of my blog and/or subscribe and let me know that you did so in a separate comment.
3. Post on facebook, twitter or blog and let me know in separate comment.
Please leave your e-mail so that if selected, I have a way to contact you. Thank you!
Giveaway will end 10 PM EST on Monday, April 23rd. Winner will be selected via random.org and will be notified by e-mail.
(This is not a sponsored giveaway, just some of my favorite things that I want to share. All items came from Sherwin –Williams) Good luck!

Dresser and Nightstand Makeover: Heirloom White
Today I wanted to show you a little makeover I did for my girls’ room in one of my favorite spray paint colors, Heirloom White by Rustoleum. It’s a perfect creamy white that looks good on just about everything.
When we first moved into our house last fall, we didn’t have any furniture for their room so I shopped Craigslist and found a dresser and nightstand. They were pretty U-G-L-Y, so we brought them home and gave them a little facelift.
This is the only “before” picture I took of the nightstand. I had my cute little helper assisting me with the hardware.
…and AFTER! It’s amazing the difference a few spray paint cans and new knobs can make.
There are so many other things I wish I could do to this room. Painting the paneling and walls would be number one on my list, but we are renting and the room was just “remodeled” before we moved in – it’s off limits. But I love this color and have a pile out in my garage waiting to be “Heirloomed”! Have you painted anything with Heirloom White?
Also, don’t forget it’s National Painting Week! Come back to visit tomorrow - we are having a party at Favorite Paint Colors with an awesome giveaway. Have a great day!

Paint Resources
Happy Friday! Today I just wanted to share with you a couple of paint resources that can be helpful when picking out paint colors. You may have already heard of them, but if you havn’t they are worth checking out.
Have you seen the Young House Love paint colors over at Benjamin Moore? John and Sherry have chosen a great variety that I think can be helpful when picking out a color/color scheme and not knowing where to start.
A few of my favorite colors:

Gray Horse
Moonshine
Dragonfly
Nantucket Tan

Milano Red
If you havn’t seen the paint colors in their home, that’s another great resource – one that they are constantly updating and changing. Love these guys and can’t wait to meet them in June!
Have you had a chance to check out My Colortopia? It’s another awesome website recently launched by Glidden that has some great paint tips and inspiration. There is even a quiz you can take to help determine your “color style”. Some of my favorite bloggers (and I’m sure yours too!) contribute to the Colortopia blog. There are some great posts that have been written and they are all about paint!
Also, I am having a giveaway next week that you won’t want to miss out on. It’s time to celebrate one year at Favorite Paint Colors and I want you to be a part of it! Have a great weekend everyone!
