Hey guys! So I am doing something a little out of the ordinary today and sharing with you a product I received from Michael’s that I just love! It’s a Recollection Calendar Kit to help keep me a little more organized in 2014. I have been struggling for the past year trying to decide what to do with all of my pictures and memories. I haven’t found the right solution and have a ton of pictures totally unorganized.
So that’s why I was so excited to hear about this calendar kit. Not only is it a 12 month blank calendar to keep track of important dates, but it’s a fun and memorable way to display your favorite photographs throughout the year. The best part, you can store it on the shelf with your other scrapbooks and family memories at the end of the year without a ton of work. Exactly what I have been looking for!
The Calendar Recollection Kit comes with an album, blank calendar pages, stickers for important occasions, and the cutest 3x4 and 4x6 designer insert cards for every month. The album even has a hole in it so you can hang it up on the wall.
I love that it’s customizable and every card comes with two sides to choose from, and some months like December and July come with multiple cards, depending on where you live and what holiday you celebrate. Or you can fill your 3x4 and 4x6 plastic photo pockets with pictures of your family. A lot of the cards have places where you can write as well. I love that you have more space to journal cute sayings or fun memories you do together as a family.
Putting all of the pages together was so much fun and am really happy how it turned out, plus it only took me about 20 minutes. The hardest part was deciding what side of the card to use. Easy peasy lemon squeezy as my 5 year old would say!
One of our favorite months out of the year is February because both of our girls were born then. So many good memories and lots of celebrating going on, not to mention Valentine’s Day.
It’s so fun to personalize and I love that I am going to be able to see those two sweet faces when I flip over to February!

Whenever I pull out a new calendar I always wonder what is going to fill it up, what important events are going to come up and what changes are going to happen in our family. That’s kind of the exciting (and scary!) part of a new year, but I love thinking of the possibilities. I think 2014 is going to be great and I can’t wait to keep track of the fun memories we are going to make.

As I have seen new homes built and have looked at the latest trends, most people are going with one solid paint color throughout the main part of their home. I love it because it’s continuous, you don’t have to worry about whether a room will flow into the next, and I think it’s more calming. So if I were going to paint a whole house one main color, and had to use Sherwin Williams, these are the colors that I have seen that work. I have not seen a room painted in any of these 5 paint colors that I have disliked. So here we go!
