More Color Trends for 2012

Happy Monday everyone! Today I wanted to share some more colors trends from Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore.

Sherwin Williams 2012 Color of the Year is Argyle. It “is the perfect blend of blue and yellow, and is the color of commerce and the anticipation of greener pastures ahead.”

Here are the palettes from the Sherwin Williams 2012 Color Forecast:

Do you have any favorites?

Benjamin Moore has some beautiful color combos and I love their new color of the year, Wythe Blue, shown below.
Walls: Wythe Blue, Ceiling: Battenberg, Trim: Storm Cloud Gray (love the gray trim)

Same room, painted with different colors.
Walls: Sharkskin, Ceiling: Wythe Blue, Trim: Battenberg, Stenciling: Fresh Olive

LOVE this color palette!

Both Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore are moving more towards earthy tones for 2012, which some of you might be grateful for if you’re not the Tangerine Tango type of person. These colors are definitely more my style. Smile What about you?

Have a happy Monday and great week!  Hopefully most of you have today off?

  2. Really like that 'Sharkskin' colour - a room that bright can handle it. Also loving that grey trim in the first photo. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I painted the bedroom in my last home Wythe Blue. LOVED it. Also loved Rainwashed a few shades lighter on the same strip. That Argyle is STUNNING!
