Exterior Colors: Copley Gray and Seapearl (do you ever house stalk??)

I just got back from a wonderful summer in Montana with my husband and girls. One of our favorite things to do was to go to a local band concert put on at a park. Every Wednesday night we walked by this house that was next to the park and I would stop and gawk at the colors, wondering what they were. Well, one night there was a lady out on the front porch so I asked her if she was the owner, she said she was, I told her I how much I loved her house and asked her if she knew the paint colors. She did! I was not the first stranger to stop by and ask what they were. Copley Gray and Seapearl by Benjamin Moore. When I went by to take pictures her door was open. Soooo wish I could have gone inside…Do you house stalk? :)

To sum it up:
Main exterior: Copley Gray by Benjamin Moore
Trim: Seapearl by Benjamin Moore
To see Copley Gray on the interior see here.
Have a great weekend!

  1. TOTALLY have house stalked!!! Totally DO house stalk!!!
Funny - On "our" first house I actually made my husband park in the driveway of my "dream" house so I could take my fan deck out and match yellows!! ;)

  2. @Meg - that made me laugh out loud! I would totally do that! I am a proud house stalker too, my *dream house* is for sale in our neighbourhood and I go and visit it regularly. Poor people, they probably think I am nuts :)

  3. Meg and Dharma, you are my kind of gals! I absolutely love that you took your fan decks with you, Meg. I would have loved to have seen that. I hope you found the right color! Dharma - if somebody came by my house because they liked it so much, I would feel very flattered. Don't you think everyone else would be too?? That's what I keep telling myself anyway when I'm snapping my pictures outside.

  4. No, house staling doesn't do much for me. Our house is red brick (from the 50s) on all for sides. I hard a hard enough time trying to find a new paint color for the front door, (with red/terracotta brick?!) so I just drive on by the prettily painted houses. BTW, any suggestions for a front door color for me?????

  6. We stalked the house we currently live in. We had been looking to buy our first house and couldn't turn down this deal. We would drive by it multiple times a day, dreaming of when we could get in, hahahaha! We've been renovating room by room for the past year and a half.... we're getting there, and have loved every minute of it!

  8. Hold the dry sample boards up to the furniture, the fabrics and the surfaces already in the room, the larger swatch makes it so much easier to decide if a color is right or not.
