I painted the Ralph Lauren canvas natural in my livingroom after finding your website and seeing the pictures of your home, and unfortunately (due to our pot-lights) the colour turned out very yellow. I would love to stick with it as it is such a nice colour, but also think that it's because we have lots of darker espresso coloured furniture in the room. I will try your technique in mixing up dark pieces with white to see if that lightens the room up any. In the meantime I am going to go pot-light bulb browsing to see if they carry a white bulb instead of the ones that turn yellow.
I think that's a great place to start. Lighting can change a paint color drastically, and if you have yellow in your lights, it will probably make your walls look yellow, too. Let me know how it works out. Good luck!
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. If you have a paint color to submit, please e-mail me directly at favoritepaintcolors@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you! Have a great day.
I love neutrals! This is a great color. Not too grey Not too yellow.
ReplyDeleteI love the color too. It's so warm and inviting!
