Fall is here! This has got to be one of my favorite times of the year: beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, yummy recipes , heavenly smells, and the best wardrobe of the year. Here is a small sneak peek of the paint color I chose for our family room and of course my FALL MANTEL! (I don’t have a real mantel, but this is what’s on top of the armoire in our family room.)
These are all items I picked up on clearance sales or I got from my Mom. I love pulling out my decorations and seeing what I have written on the bottom. It brings back lots of great memories.
The hurricane glasses on the side I made from items from the Dollar Store, completely inspired by this tutorial here.
And the paint color in the background is …. Manchester Tan! It was so hard to pick out one color I loved, I have seen so many gorgeous rooms and colors, but I went with Manchester Tan because I thought it would fit best with the furniture and accessories in my home. It’s a warm tan that sometimes looks a little more beigish, but it doesn’t have any weird undertones. It’s kind of hard to see the true color in this one small picture, but I’m amazed at the difference it made to our living room and I havn’t regretted my decision (I’ll show more pictures later). This has been the first time in my life where I have gotten one sample, put it on the wall, and went right back to buy enough to paint my room. It was a great feeling and I have to thank Becca from Adventures in Decorating for being my inspiration. She submitted this picture and I fell in love with the color.
I’m linking up to The Lettered Cottage for their Fall Mantel Party. There is some awesome inspiration there. Happy Fall Y’all! I’ll be posting more paint colors tomorrow.
